I know that you've all heard Beck. 'Loser' 'Where It's At' and even a lot of the newer stuff has that crazy, electro-techno-trip-hop shit that made the radio stations go crazy and in current years the hipsters tighten up their jeans a little tighter. What I propose to you is that at its core, is a song writer that has heavy roots in soul, gospel, blues, folk and some of that hillbilly shit. Beck actually wrote for Johnny Cash. I've compiled a nice little list of shit that epitomizes this. You probably have heard alot of these songs but there are a handful on here that haven't really been exposed much at all. After reviewing this I noticed that I didn't put any song from Guero on here. Whatever. Enjoy the pureness that is BECK.
